Le temps fort de la création is an event dedicated to the discovery of a nursery of artists of today's musical creation.
Between written music and improvisation, text and voice, they offer us a journey full of friendly pitfalls and surprises of all kinds. Eager to discover artists from different horizons, they conceive this event as a meeting as close as possible to the public, where time for exchange around a drink is as important as the performances themselves. Spring, a season conducive to imagination, will be the occasion to start going outside the walls and to let oneself be guided by these artists who will prepare an unfolding punctuated by small forms in places around the performance hall of the Maison de la Musique. The LIKΣN ensemble will close this creative highlight with a final concert.
2:30 p.m.: Duo La Frange: Simona Castria, saxophones, Violaine Willem, viola: created in 2019, the duo speaks out around the issues of its time by closely combining musical creation with theater
4:00 pm: Improvisation duet: Xavière Fertin, clarinettist, and Emilie Skrijelj, accordionist. A meeting between two current figures of improvised music.
6:00 pm: Alexandros Markeas’ music lesson on the prepared piano. The composer/improviser will explain how different odds and ends in the piano strings, (nails, fixed paste or air chamber), gave a new personality to the most classical instrument of all.
The LIKΣN ensemble, “La Toute Multiple” : a piece imagined by the composer and improviser Timothee Quost for 7 wind instruments and a mixing desk. Thanks to a precision work with the microphone, they release sound worlds imperceptible to the “naked” ear and create sonorities close to electronics.
